There are many circumstances which can cause you to no longer own a car. Whatever they are they all result in one thing – an empty garage.
If you spend more time than you care to admit standing in the empty space reminiscing about the vehicle which once resided there, below are some great ideas to consider to change the space into something a little more useful.
Who Doesn’t Love a Man Cave ?
Well, the person who has to clean one, I imagine. But in all seriousness, a garage makes a great man cave space because it already has a masculine feel to it. If you like the idea of this, consider getting the following:
- A few couches (one which opens to a bed)
- A big screen television
- Gaming console/Media Center
- Poster of your favorite sports team or player
Of course, if you have any other ideas that you want to add then be sure to include them in your design plans!
A Craft or a Sewing Room
If you don’t like the idea of something so masculine then you could go the complete another way with a space designed especially for craft-based activities.
If you like this idea then now is the time to unpack all of those boxes with sewing machines and craft supplies in the attic into your new space and really see what you’ve got. Once you have everything laid out, consider what you will need to complete each project, for example:
